Presentation of letters of credence from Ambassador IZAWA to the President of The Gambia (22 June 2022)

On June 22nd, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to The Gambia, H.E. Mr. Izawa presented his credentials to President Adama Barrow of the Republic of The Gambia at the Office of the President.

During the meeting with President Barrow, Ambassador Izawa welcomed the various cooperation efforts, including the equipment provided to the Gambian Immigration Service in cooperation with IOM, the Fourth Regional Drinking Water Supply Plan, and the dispatch of agricultural experts, and requested cooperation for TICAD 8 to be held this year. President Barrow expressed his gratitude for Japan's various cooperation and confirmed that the two countries would cooperate in the future development of bilateral relations.
