THE LAUNCHING OF THE PROJECT FOR RURAL WATER SUPPLY PHASE IV (8 July 2022)

   On Friday, 8th July, 2022, His Excellency Mr. IZAWA Osamu, Ambassador of Japan to the Republic of The Gambia and Hon. Musa S. DRAMMEH, Minister of Fisheries, Water Resources and National Assembly matters attended the launching ceremony of the Project for Rural Water Supply Phase IV.
This project funded by the Government of Japan within the framework of its Grant Scheme consists in constructing twenty (20) water supply systems to provide safe and quality drinking water to sixty-two rural communities. It also contributes to alleviate women’s burden due to water collecting.
Japan’s cooperation to The Gambia focuses on vital sectors such as access to quality water, Health, Education, access to food etc…, in order to contribute to building a resilient and sustainable society, to achieve Human Security and SDGs, which are a foundation of the betterment of Gambian’s people living conditions.
