Signing and exchange of an Exchange of Notes on food aid for 2024

On 13 August, the signing and exchange of an Exchange of Notes on food aid (250 million yen) for 2024 took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad in Banjul.
Japan has been working to improve food security in The Gambia and this food aid is part of that effort. It is hoped that the Japanese government rice will help to improve food security in The Gambia by providing food and nutritional needs to people in need through this cooperation.
