Handover ceremony for the Japanese supplementary budget project "Respond to the urgent WASH and nutrition needs through lifesaving interventions and increase the resilience of vulnerable families affected by the floods in the Gambia".
On 13 August, a handover ceremony was held in Banjul, the capital city of The Gambia, for the Japanese supplementary budget project "Respond to the urgent WASH and nutrition needs through lifesaving interventions and increase the resilience of vulnerable families affected by the floods in the Gambia".
Japan supports The Gambia in strengthening water sanitation and nutrition resilience to the impending spread of flood damage by providing emergency nutrition and water sanitation assistance to flood-affected areas where rehabilitation has not progressed, and flooding is likely to become more severe in the future.
